“The Kite Runner” a new movie directed by Marc Forster, is based on one of the most acclaimed novels in recent memory. The movie plot is a profoundly emotional tale of friendship, family, life changing mistakes and redeeming love. Amir, played by Khalid Abdalla and Hassan are two childhood friends who live in a divided country, Afghanistan, on the verge of war and their friendship is about to be torn apart.
The movie begins on a glorious day in Kabul where a kite fighting tournament is taking place. One boy’s act of betrayal will forever mark their lives and set in motion a long quest for forgiveness. Time moves forward 20 years to the United States where Amir is living. Amir decides to return to Afghanistan but the iron fisted rule of the Taliban is now in place and he must face the secrets that have haunted him and take one last chance to set things right.
The new movie "The Kite Runner" will open November 2, 2007 in theatres.
