Why I Wish the Latest Movie Trailers Would Give Clues about the Ending |

I enjoy seeing which movies are about to be released on DVD. That why I am glad there is more than one place where I can watch movie trailers. Various online sites show the latest movie trailers, so you aren’t limited to watching them before the main film when you rent a DVD or go to the cinema. I rent many films, so new movie trailers are useful in helping me decide what I want to see. However, it’s a pity the latest movie trailers don’t usually give you a hint concerning how the film will end. I’m getting tired of movies that have a dumb ending. What I find surprising is that film critics seem to love movies with unsatisfying conclusions. There seems to be a major trend for movies that end in the middle of everything, leaving the audience to guess how events transpired after that. Call me old fashioned, but I think a good story should have a logical beginning, middle and end. I never did like postmodernism. If I knew in advance that a movie was one of those artsy numbers that film critics love but audiences generally hate, I would avoid renting it.
