Max Payne blew gamers away when it hit consoles. The action was intense and for the first time, players could slow down the action to a snail’s speed to precisely fire every bullet while diving, in a roll or when running. This concept looks to be part of the new movie trailers for the Twentieth Century Fox film. Mark Wahlberg stars as Max Payne and after watching Shooter last night and the new movie trailers for this one, I don’t think anyone else could play this roll better. Except maybe Clive Owens who sort of looks like the video game character.

The plot of this film is Max Payne, a DEA agent on the hunt to solve linked NYC murders becomes personally involved after his family is murdered. It turns from justice to revenge as Payne shoots his way through mobsters, policemen and corrupted businessmen.

New movie trailers for Max Payne don’t give a release date but it will open on October 17. Mila Kunis, Beau Bridges, Ludacris, Chris O’Donnell and a list of other actors are in this movie.
